From Greek Courtyards to Queensland Homes
Some joiners simply build to spec. At BTDW, we build with history, care, and a deep respect for considered design.
Long before we stepped into the factory, our story was already taking shape — in sun-washed courtyards in Greece, under arched walkways in Provence, and through quiet moments spent admiring timber shutters and weathered windows across Europe. We’ve always been drawn to materials and places that feel lived-in, lasting, and thoughtfully made.
We still find inspiration in the curved forms and natural materials of the Mediterranean. But now, we shape that influence into contemporary Australian homes — breezy coastal spaces, modern countryside living, and Queenslanders being thoughtfully brought back to life.
From our Greek heritage and the places we’ve travelled to the work we craft on the factory floor, design continues to guide everything we do.
We believe the best joinery doesn’t just close a room or frame a view. It becomes part of the story.

Owners — Paul & Anthea
Paul brings a builder’s logic and an artisan’s eye to every project. As a structural and mechanical engineer, he’s focused on how things perform, how they endure, and how to solve the unseen problems before they arise. His background ensures that our joinery is as practical as it is beautiful.
Anthea, his wife and co-director, spent many years in film and television production, collaborating with some of the world’s most exacting creatives. That experience shaped her appreciation for beautiful environments, visual storytelling, and the importance of getting every detail right. Anthea’s eye for design, proportion, and atmosphere informs the way we approach every project today.
In 2022, Paul and Anthea became the proud custodians of Brisbane Timber Doors & Windows — a business with more than 40 years of craftsmanship behind it and a loyal following among Queensland’s builders, architects, and renovators.
Nathan — Architect & Design Consultant
When Nathan joined BTDW, he brought with him a depth of architectural knowledge that bridges the gap between design and construction. As a qualified architect, Nathan understands how space, structure, and joinery interact. His expertise allows us to engage with drawings more meaningfully, offer practical solutions that respect the design vision, and deliver joinery that feels considered — not just constructed.
With Nathan’s input, our clients gain the benefit of joinery crafted not just to fit, but to enhance.
Aubrey — Master Joiner & Workshop Lead
At the heart of our factory is Aubrey, our Master Joiner and Workshop Lead. Aubrey has been with Brisbane Timber Doors & Windows from the very beginning, and over decades his hands have crafted thousands upon thousands of doors and windows — each one made with patience, precision, and time-honoured care.
Quietly exacting, endlessly patient, and deeply respected within the industry, Aubrey leads our team with a rare combination of mastery and humility. His craftsmanship has shaped not just timber, but the standard our workshop is known for.
Under his guidance, our workshop doesn’t simply produce. It hones, refines, and perfects. Every day, Aubrey ensures our work upholds the traditions of true joinery while embracing the possibilities of modern design.
Behind him is a team of dedicated craftspeople — joiners who share his commitment to detail, pride, and respect for timeless materials. Together, they bring decades of collective experience to every project.

Together, We Build Differently
We bring engineering, architecture, production, and design together. We understand the details that matter — and we genuinely care about every home we help create.
